Don't turn your back on your bait fish.

Yum, a feast.

"I might have to drink some Dew to wash down all of this fish."

Busy bird stealing fish right out of the bucket.

Another mouthful.

Watching and waiting for more bait fish to be pulled out of the water.

I don't know whether the two fishermen were tourist and didn't know the rules of the pier or if their brain cells were fried from too much sun. Several times they pulled their net up full of bait fish and dropped the fish on the ground. Then they would turn their backs on the fish to drop the net back over the rail into the water. They kept leaving their bait fish unattended. They would turn around and most of their bait fish had been eaten by the birds. They would yell at the birds, who would just ignore them. They did it several times. Then they put the fish in the bucket but didn't put a top on  the bucket.  Duh!

  2. Great post with marvelous captures! I'd use the bait fish just to get photos of the birds!

  6. I love these photos so much, Dina, I had to come back to look at them again. They make me laugh and laugh, and they make me think of my father, who would have loved them, too.
