Baby skimmers growing up

"Mom, this lady is staring at me."

"Home is where the cone is."

"Seriously Mom, can't I have some strained peas?"

"I caught one this big."

"Okay, okay, I'll eat the fish."

"I'm all tucked in for bed."

"This is not going to fit in my tummy."

"Skimmer angels"

I was debating whether to head to the skimmer colony after work. It looked like rain on my side of the building towards Tampa. I had my stuff in the car but was tempted to just go home. Then Pam called me right before I was leaving and asked me if I was still going. I said "It looks like rain." She said "It's sunny on my side of the building." So we headed out to the beach. I'm glad she called and convinced me to go. The clouds had moved out and it was sunny for the rest of the short evening. The baby skimmers are getting so big. They have so much personality now. They were chasing each other and chasing after their parents. They do this weird thing with their wings. When they are running towards the parent looking for food they tend to drop their wings and drag them along. I don't know if it's how they attempt to fly but it looks so funny. I'm going to try and get back there at least one more time before they all fly away.

  4. Oh, I hope you do get back, Dina. These photos are fabulous. I love the captions you put under them, and the babies are just too cute.
We're going away, but I'll try to make a point of checking for baby skimmer photos. You've done such a great job with these.
