Baby crane is growing up

"Mom, let's do our stretches."

"Not another photographer!"

"I'm getting tired of eating bugs."

"This is way more comfortable than standing."

The baby sandhill crane at Circle B Bar Reserve is growing up fast. I took these a couple of weeks ago so by now he's probably almost as big as his parents. He's still so much fun to watch and seemed very curious about everything.

  1. Oh my goodness what great photo Dina. He is so cute, it has to be fun to watch!

  2. Great series!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

  3. such an odd little bird! beautiful and strange all at the same time!

  4. Nice shots! He sure has some growing to do to fit into those legs.

  6. Fabulous, Dina, especially the last one. Imagine having knees that bend the other way!
You're probably right, though, a couple of weeks can be like a couple of years in the life of a young bird. He's probably getting pretty independent by now.
    Great photos. Thanks so much!
