I saw this pelican from far away. I saw a little green on it and thought it was a band. When I got home and cropped it up I realized it was a fish hook with a green fish. Hopefully, it will dislodge.
Snowy egret with a bite of fish. He's standing on one of the cleaning stations on the pier.
Osprey nest on the old tower next to the snack bar. I think the one on the left is a juvenile.
The usual dolphin swimming around the pier.
Lots of kites in the sky this past weekend.

"The usual dolphin" — oh, how blasé Floridians can be about the things that make the rest of us jump up and down and squeal like children!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, but I'll be worrying about that pelican with a hook in his foot. He doesn't look like he's too worried, so somebody has to do it for him.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue skies and GREAT shots of all those birds (and the dolphin). How cool is it to be able to see dolphins frequently!!! Lucky you. Have a great weekend. Mickie :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos, each one...but that poor bird, I hope the hook does not become infected.

ReplyDeleteall airborne creatures
ReplyDeletewe love watching dolphins jump into the sky from the lake
Should be called "the nuisance dolphin" because they constantly steal the bait off the end of your hook. There are so many dolphins there that they cause problems for the anglers. I am not complaining, just putting things in perspective for the non-Floridians.
